When vision is lost but the eye remains in the orbit a special functional and cosmedic procedure is required. A Scleral Cover Shell is fabricated, not only delivers an attractive eye cover but one that ensures eye comfort and a natural appearance.
How it is delivered
The final product is delivered in the office during a 45-minute appointment. The ocularist does a final fitting and polishing of the prosthesis. Education is given on how to remove and replace the prosthesis. A kit will also be given on how to take care of and clean the prosthesis.
